Ooooooh friend, I know it’s easy to get caught up in the morning rush, but take a few moments to start your morning off on the right foot.

📝 Make a gratitude list while you sip on your morning coffee ☕️, read a few pages of your current book 📚 (that inspires you), or even listen to a short podcast before jumping out of bed.

Whatever you do, I bet you’ll be surprised by how much of an impact it will make on the rest of your day!

Happy Friday! What a busy week it has been!

One thing that is guaranteed in life is that it will present us with circumstances that are beyond our control. We might not be able to control all the challenges that life throws at us but we can control our response to them.

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, but not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Reminding yourself to take notice of your thoughts, feelings, body sensations and the world around you is the first step to mindfulness.

2022 has been my toughest year in business yet. An

2022 has been my toughest year in business yet. And the last 3 weeks have been the hardest. What I thought I was coming back to after my mid-year break (a week off with my family in Knysna) was nothing like I imagined.

One thing after the other went wrong in my business and personal life.

As things piled on, things got so much that I just couldn't handle everything anymore. After a quick visit to the E.R 2 weeks ago (just to be sure - luckily I was okay and it was only a false alarm), I realised things HAVE TO CHANGE.

My health is NOT what it should (or could) be. And from now on I'm putting myself and my health first. NOTHING can function well when I'm not okay.

Not my business, not my household, my kids, me, nothing.

I had to make big decisions and still am. I had to leave a few things completely. I'm re-organising my team, I started to ASK FOR HELP regarding my 10-year-old and the difficult season she's (we're) in. I've booked an appointment at a GP who specialises in women's health later this month. And tomorrow I'm back on my healthy eating plan which helped me dropped 10 kg's in the past 5 months already, I'm so ready to reach my goal. I'm not going to give up yet.

I read this on @morganharpernichols page and wanted to share it with you.

This life will ask a lot of you.
And this is also true:
Even when you have a thousand things to do, it is absolutely okay to crave a slower pace.
It is absolutely okay if your energy levels are not where they were yesterday.
You are allowed to change.
You are allowed to pace yourself here.
You are allowed to ebb & flow, no matter what is still unknown.
Rise up with the sun.
Settle down with the moon,
let the natural rhythms of the day
remind you to pace yourself through this.
Perhaps courage comes more naturally than you think.

If you're in a tough spot, whether in business or your personal life, I want to encourage you today, to not give up. Take it day by day, even if you take one step in the right direction, that's so much better than doing nothing. One thing a day is enough. YOU ARE ENOUGH!
