We’re looking for a motivated, social-media-savvy, very creative individual to join our all-female, boutique digital marketing agency!

The right candidate should possess both strong creative design and communication skills, while having the ability to ensure consistency in brand image.

Job Title Graphic Designer/Website Developer
Type Hybrid
Hours Monday – Friday, 08h00 – 17h00
Location Strand, Cape Town (Non-local applicants will not be considered)
Position Permanent (3-month probation)
Salary R 15 000 – R 18 000 cost to company (depending on previous experience/qualifications)
Starting Date Tue 2 April ‘24

Job Level Junior – Mid
Experience Min of 1 year creative/digital marketing agency experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand identities designs: logos, brand colours, fonts, letterheads, business cards, email signatures, brand guides
  • Product packaging or marketing material
  • Company documents (brochures, pricelists, brochures, flyers, banners, signage etc.)
  • Design of email campaigns and building in Mailchimp (or similar mailer platforms)
  • Social media designs & ad creatives (including video – knowledge of Canva or other video editing tools beneficial)
  • Website look & feel designs and building of websites on WordPress or Shopify
  • Website maintenance/updates
  • Create compelling social media creatives & templates for our clients
  • Design of Social media ad creatives
  • Design of Google ad creatives
  • Drive feedback loops from clients and amend creatives accordingly
  • Basic video editing (animated image/text)
  • Source new content using stock libraries

Job Requirements

The right candidate must have/be:

  • Graphic design or related degree is an advantage
  • Intermediate graphic design skills
  • Previous agency/client facing role
  • 1 – 2 years experience with Social Media posts designs & ad campaign creatives
  • Skilled in using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop and Canva
  • A keen eye for aesthetically pleasing content and consistency
  • Have attention to detail
  • Have the ability to work both as a team player and independently
  • Be responsible for your work and deadlines
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with the complexity of having many projects on the go at once.
  • Own reliable transport
  • Live in the Helderberg or surrounds
